BOTOX COSMETIC
Dr. Ashworth offers a number of very effective aesthetic procedures. Botox cosmetic is an injection that has proven results when used for mild to moderate wrinkles that occur with facial expressions. The most popular areas include the "frown lines" between the eyes, forehead wrinkles, and lines at the side of the eyes called "crows feet". To make this injection as comfortable as possible Dr. Ashworth applies a very strong topical numbing cream. He also has a Cryo unit which blows extremely cold air in the areas he is about to inject. This combination makes the injection procedure virtually painless.
As soon as wrinkles begin to show with expression, like when a woman smiles and the wrinkles around the eyes appear, it is important to start the Botox treatments. The wrinkles will get more pronounced and deeper as time goes on. This will decrease the results possible with Botox. The areas that will receive Botox should be smooth and wrinkle free when no facial expressions are performed. Then, once Botox is injected, when those same expressions are made the area will stay wrinkle free! The results should be expected to last 4-6 months.
JUVEDERM
Juvederm is a safe and natural dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Juvederm has wonderful results when placed in the lips to add volume, or to diminish the small lines around the edges of the lip line. Juvederm has taken fillers one step further by offering two different products depending on the depth and thickness of the wrinkles and folds. Juvederm Ultra is for finer wrinkles around the lips. Juvederm Ultra-Plus is made for the deeper folds that extend from the nose to the outer lip.
Juvederm is a cosmetic dermal filler made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic Acid is a natural substance that already exists in the human body and is used to provide fullness and volume to the skin. Juvederm is a crystal-clear gel that is biodegradable and fully compatible with the human body.
The most common areas are the lips, naso-labial folds, the frown lines between the eyes, and the lines that occur from the corner of the mouth down to the chin (marianet lines). Juvederm can be expected to last 10-12 months, because of its extensive cross-linking technology.
HSL-RELEASETM (Injectable)
HSL-Release™ is a patent pending, trademarked injectable compound researched and developed by Dr. Ashworth and Pharmacy Creation's that helps to increase the hormone signal that involves converting triglycerides to fatty acids inside fat cells. This hormone is called Hormone Sensitive Lipase and it's excretion inside of fat cells is enhanced with the use of this compound.
HSL-ReleaseTM is currently under going clinical trials in Italy to be used in the only FDA approved no-needle device that delivers medications into the fatty tissue layer of skin. When skeletal muscles are working during walking and strenuous exercise, the fatty acids released from fat cells will be used as an energy source in the areas where the compound HSL-ReleaseTM is concentrated after the delivery using the device described above. More information will be available once the trials are completed and the use of HSL-ReleaseTM is announced as a go to be delivered in conjunction with the device.
